Nope I'm not talking about the PC game here (even though it is a good one) but I am referring to my current game today. We played the Chaos (2 armies worth) versus the Necrons and Tyranids. It was a 2,500 point game again and we rolled the Seize ground rules with the Dawn of War setup. Between the 4 of us we picked the following objectives to be held: the Cemetary, the Chapel, the ruined Citadel, the ammo dump and the ruined green building.
Turn 1: Chaos turn was uneventful.
Necrons & Tyranids turn the Necron warriors kill 5 Beserkers.
Turn 2: Chaos turn the Obliterators kill 7 Gaunts and the Sorceror Lord summons the Horrors.
Necrons & Nids turn the Tyranid warriors kill 5 Beserkers.
Turn 3: For the Chaos turn the Terminators kill 4 Genestealers and the Sorceror Lord shoots Doom Bolt and kills 2 Gaunts. In assault the Obliterators kill 2 Lictors and the Terminators kill 6 Necron Warriors.
Necrons & Nids turn the Hive Tyrant kills a Beserker. In assault the Obliterators kill a Lictor, the Terminators kill 4 Necron Warriors and the Beserkers kill 2 Hormagaunts. The Raveners and the Hormagaunts kill 4 Beserkers collectively.
Turn 4: Chaos turn the Terminators kill 2 Genestealers and the Obliterators kill 9 Gaunts. In assault the Flayed ones kill a Chaos Marine, the Hormagaunts kill a Beserker and the Beserker kills a Hormagaunt.
Necrons & Nids turn the Necron Warriors kill 2 Obliterators and the Tyranid Warriors kill 2 Terminators. In assault the Obliterators kill 4 Gaunts, the Pariahs kill 5 Terminators and the Raveners kill 2 Beserkers. The Beserkers in turn kill a Hormagaunt.
Turn 5: Chaos turn the Obliterators kill 2 Necron Warriors. In assault the Nightbringer kills Abaddon the Despoiler, the Raveners kill 2 Beserkers and the Beserkers kill 3 Hormagaunts. The Obliterators kill 3 Gaunts.
Necrons & Nids turn the Monolith kills 2 Marines and the Immortals kill a Obliterator. In assault the Raveners kill a Beserker and so do the Hormaguants. The Beserkers kill a Hormagaunt and the Flayed Ones kill 2 Marines.
Since I just discovered that you are supposed to roll after the 5th turn now to see if you fight on or if the game ends we rolled a 2 so the game ended. The final verdict was that the Chaos won holding 2 objectives in the end whereas the Necrons and Tyranids only held one objective in the end.
Ok, this weekend I played a rather long 4 way game. It was my Chaos vs. Ultramarines vs. Necrons vs. Tyranids. This is the army list I used for that game. Tomorrow I will follow up with the battle report.
Sorceror Lord with the Mark of Khorne, plasma pistol and Doombolt- 95
Horrors- 85
Chaos Marines (15) with a heavy bolter, plasma gun and a Champion with powerfist- 240
Chaos Marines (20) with an autocannon, plasma gun and a Champion with the Axe of Khorne- 315
Beserkers (15) with a plasma gun and a Champion with lightning claw and the Rage of Khorne ability- 250
Possessed (10) with Deamonic Talons, Deamonic Fire, Deamonic mutation and a Champion with a master crafted bolter and an icon- 280
Raptors (5) with a flamer and a Champion with a lightning claw- 166
Terminators (8) with a reaper autocannon, power fist, combi flamer and a Champion with a teleport homer and a master crafted combi bolter- 253
Obliterators (3)- 210
Land Raider with Destroyer, extra armour, havoc missile launcher, and a search light- 306
Predator with Destroyer, extra armour and sponson las cannons- 175
Dreadnought with a plasma cannon and Destroyer- 140
Totalling- 2515
Now some of you might argue with the total but don't forget the Champions were all a free upgrade according to the rulebook. Stayed tuned for that battle report and of course some pictures.
Since I forgot to post my 2 newest editions to my Tau army that I received as Xmas presents, here they are in all their glory. Unfortunately they did better last week against the Tyranids than what they did against the Necrons yesterday. Enjoy. I know I had fun painting them.
Well for those that are interested here are the new miniatures, unfortunately they are all Ork stuff though.

Happy Holidays to my readers and hopefully everyone has a good New Year's too. I have decided to start posting other topics besides Battle reports of mine and my brothers games. I thought I would share what my wish list was for the holiday and to mention that Games Workshop had a contest this year about sending them wish lists and possibly winning up to a $100 dollar item. Of course I didn't win but congratulations to those that did. So without further ado here it is:
- Codex: Chaos Deamons
- Warhammer 40,000 Expansion: Apocalypse
- Water Effects
- WH40K: Imperial Sector (a terrain piece)
- The Bloodthirster
- Chaos Space Marine Defiler
- Imperial Guard BaneBlade
- Tau XV8 Crisis Suit
- Tau XV88 Broadside Battlesuit
- Tau Fire Warrior Team
- Kroot Carnivore Squad
- Commander Shadowsun
- Tau Sky Ray Missile Defense Gunship
- The Balrog
- Eldar Harlequin Death Jester
- Eldar Harlequin Shadowseer
- Eldar Wave Serpent
- Chaos Deamons Skulltaker
Out of this list I received the Sky Ray and Commander Shadowsun. Awesome right and when I have finished painting I will post pictures. Until next time.
Well it's been awhile since I posted last and it kind of sad that I haven't really had the time to play lately. But I though I would check out the games-workshop site to see what is new and exciting and I found new Chaos. There is a full codex on nothing but Deamons. This of course goes for both systems, it's great. I love this game. The first one that caught my eye is called the soul grinder. Soul Grinders use their massive firepower to hammer the enemy lines and personally it looks a lot like the Defiler.
They also revamped some of the deamons themselves and I personally think that the Juggernauts look much better. Also here are some more perky deamons that we can expect to see: (http://store.us.games-workshop.com/storefront/store.us?do=List_Models&code=304529&orignav=9) Epidemius, The Tallyman of Nurgle, Bloodcrusher of Khorne, Karanak, The Hound of Vengeance, Skulltaker, Champion of Khorne, and the Masque of Slaanesh. I know nothing about how they play but I for one can't wait to buy the Codex to find out. I hope you can mix and match is all I have to say. Enjoy the link and try not to drool.
My website was originally devoted for displaying my miniatures (all of them). This not only included Games-Workshop miniatures but Clanwars and Ral Partha as well. My friend and I started this back in 1997 when it was his idea to create a web site. He showed me how to HTML and I learned pretty quick so he helped me to make my own site. Here is the link again http://www.angelfire.com/nj2/commissardave. Throughout the years I have put many a miniature on this site and my recent addition was to put my Dungeons and Dragons characters on there. But perhaps that's another Blog up and coming. I tried to break them all up by category. For instance; the first item in the drop box is devoted to my Imperial Guard. The next item has my Chaos marines, Dark Eldar, Dwarves, Ral Partha miniatures, Space Marines, Chronopia miniatures (a game similar to Warhammer), Warzone miniatures, Elves, Orks, and Lord of the Rings miniatures. I won't go over all of the items on my site you have to check them out for yourself. I have a lot of imperial guard miniatures and if I have more pictures to add I will probably do it on my blog here because I have no more room on angelfire without buying more space.
More to come...
